From 12 to 19 October 2014 in the capital of Polish people's Republic took place ХХI national philatelic exhibition «Warsaw - 2014».
Significantly, the forum was held in the halls of Olympic centre under the name of John Paul II, because this year marks the 95th anniversary of the formation of Polish Olympic Committee, the 90th anniversary of the first performance of Polish athletes under its own flag of an independent state, the 70th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, which was attended by several hundred athletes, including eight Olympic champions.
In 1919 in Warsaw hosted the first general-Polish philatelic exhibition, and now 95 years later - XXI.
Presented exhibits introduce visitors with a variety of pages of the history and modernity, primarily with postal history and Polish stamp, the history of Polish lands, history of Poland.
On the eve of the opening of exhibition, Polish volleyball fans pleased with the victory at the World Cup, and the Polish Post on this occasion in a few days produced philatelic sheet with portraits of champions. On the presentation, which took place on 18 October, it was possible not only to buy stamps, make a cancellation, but also to communicate with the head coach of champions Stephane Antiga and, if lucky, get an autograph.
The successful conduct of any exhibition depends on many factors. The most important: exhibits level; organization and program; venue.
XXI forum of philatelists in Poland is highly commendable. Interesting, well-designed expositions in all classes (about 150), demonstrated a high level and reality of getting the highest grade medals at most prestigious exhibitions of philately. Excellent organization, rich program and exclusive construction of John Paul II Olympic Centre allow summarize - the holiday was a success.
Among the official guests of the exhibition, invited by the Polish Union of Philatelists, was a delegation from the city, which included the chairman of the society I. Panonko and activist V. Pruhnitskiy. Arrival of Lviv people became a logical continuation of the development of friendly relations and deepen cooperation of twinned societies of cities Lublin and Lviv. The Chairman of the Lublin branch of the Polish Union of philatelists Ryszard Kuśmierski took care of the delegation of Lviv and Brest. Communication between philatelists was interesting and mutually beneficial.
Interesting acquaintances, exchange of experiences and impressions weren't allowed to miss even one day. Here's how past Saturday, October 18:
10-00 - arrived bus in Ibis hotel in which lived the guests. Going to exhibition in the Olympic Center. Henry Monkos met us on the stairs of palace of delegates. Some hour you can once again examine the stands, souvenirs, philatelic novelties. Near exposures experts and judges spend with exhibitors "debriefing". In parallel, there is a presentation of 8-stamp series "Coral fish". You can buy stamps, make a cancellation.

11-00 - all are invited to improvised stage, on which gives an interview the head coach of the Polish volleyball players. Goes a small presentation of philatelic sheet.
After lunch, guests are taken through Warsaw to the see the new residence of the Polish Union of Philatelists. Rooms for working with computers, library with catalogs, conference room, banquet room, all is modern, advanced and with high quality. Chairmen of the regional companies receive for their exhibitors catalogs, gifts and novelties. And again on the bus, return to Olympic center at Palmares. The winners are awarded prizes, medals, and in the Grand Prix of the exhibition was added a car, a gift from the president of Poland.
In conclusion, I will reveal a little secret: I was in Warsaw for the first time. Good modern wide streets, skyscrapers and Culture House, all strikes. And when I entered the narrow streets and wide area of Stare Miasto, was fascinated. Here is she beautiful Warsaw, old and always young.
